meatless lasagna

last night i made this meatless lasagna and thought id share it for the veggies out there..

Step 1: sauce
use a can of tomato puree/tomato paste/spaghetti sauce ( which ever you have available or a combination) spice with salt, pepper, sweet basil, garlic powder and 1 chopped up onion. cook this together in a pot or deep pan on low til the onions are soft. add two table spoons of cooking cream if you like rose sauce.

Step 2: the cheeses
I used about a cup and half of grated kashkaval cheese
1 tub of cottage cheese
a cup and half of grated gouda cheese
you can use whatever yellow cheese you like and substitute cottage for ricotta, gouda for chedder..

step 3: layering
spray the bottom of the dish with some non stick spray
lay down the lasagna noodles (flat square noodles) and pour sauce over them, then put on cottage cheese and one of the yellow cheeses
repeat as much as you want, i did four layers
the top layer should be sauce and one of the yellow cheeses.

make sure to get sauce around the sides too, its seems like a ton of sauce but its needed to cook the noodles. i baked this at about 170 C( which i think is around 360 F) for 45 min to an hour.
