Meeting OH's Parents! Eeek!!

Now i know this must seem really really silly, but in the whole time i've been with my OH, i've never met his parents!!! Well i met his dad once when he gave us a lift to tescos for about 2 seconds, but that doesnt count!

Now since they found out that im PRG, they want to come over and 'have a chat' (naturally), but im so unbelievebly scared!! Im pretty convinced they are going to try talk me out of it, which whatever i dont care of course im not going to change my mind i just dont want them to change my mums mind if you get me. I dont want her to see their side and gang up on meeee

I hope i make a good first impression and they see i will be a good mummy!!

in a way, i think its better that u havent already met them. i get on well with my bfs mum and im terrified of the thought of her finding out! i act all sweet and innocent when im round his house lol-im so scared what shes going to think. good luck though, im sure it will go fine xx

Hi girls,

Oh it really was the meeting from HELL!! His parents were so scary!! His mum especially, she was not at all happy and she really didnt like me one bit!!

They basiclly told me to get an abortion, and not in the nicest possible way either, i mean i understand their points of view but they could at least me a little bit nice about it right?!

They said they were 'to exausted' to be grandparents. WHAT?! How could anyone not want a little grandchild? That havnt even got any!
Anyway, i just told them i'd think on it overnight (yeah right) and tell them my descion in a couple days!!

If they dont want to be part of the babys life thats their problem not mine!!

On a happier note: I met my midwife today for the first time!! Whooo. She was so lovely!! I just have to wait for my scan date to come through in the post!! Whoooo!!

That's exactly right! They can choose to be a part of the baby's life or choose not to be--it's their loss if they choose not to be.

i hope your OH was on your side! As long as you want and will love this baby thats all that matters they can bugger off! To be fair they will probably come round when they realise you are keeping it

Ahh how mean, not sure i'd be too happy if i was told that. Is totally their loss if they dont, how can they not want to be granparents (my OH's mother doesnt think she's old enuf or that its happend in the right order but is happy, i think ha ha) Just hold your head up high and do what you want to do.
