Men B Vaccine

Hi All

My LG had her second dose of the Men B vaccine yesterday afternoon. Since then she has been very unsettled and slight fever which I expected.

Tonight whilst changing her a noticed that her thigh at the injection area is very swollen, tender and hard when I touch it. She was fine with the first dosage no fever etc.

Has anyone else noticed this with their LO's

My little girl had the first one a couple of weeks ago.. She had a but it f a temp and was unsettled for a day or so but I also noticed she had a sore hard spot where they injected.. It's still a little hard now but not sore anymore xx

They told me for her first dose that it was a common side effect

My daughter was the same no mark the first time but a mark the second x

They told me that a red swelling is ok as long as it doesn't get larger than the size of a 50p

My little boy was the same it went down after a week Hun x

With the first one my baby got a hard swollen lump in his leg that seemed quite painful for him. It went down in a few days and his fussiness only lasted a day

Her leg is alot better now. Although its still a bit hard at the injection area and a bruise. Maybe she went too far into the muscle.

Shes not bothered by it anyways which is good.

All three of mine have had it, and all had a swollen lump. Doctor said to massage it gently with a sponge when in the bath to help it. I didn't really do that much since it wasn't bothering them. totally normal
