My doc warned me that if I ate heavy carbs, starches and sugar I'd experience some gastrointestinal anomalies.

:( :( WHAT SHE DIDN'T SAY IS THAT EVERY SINGLE THING I EAT WILL REAPPEAR IN SCARY, VIOLENT, PAINFUL, EXPLOSIVE LIQUID FORM WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF EATING :( :(

I'm ABSOLUTELY miserable right now. I haven't been able to keep anything in for the last 3 days so I've been chugging gatorade and protein shakes because nothing solid is agreeing with me.

I need some suggestions on what else to try to eat because I've tried and failed at:

Chili
Baked Chicken
Plain Salad
Tangerines
Carrot Sticks
Watermelon
Steak

I am literally too scared to eat right now, because my body needs a break.
Help! How long does this last and anybody have any advice?

I'm sorry you've been having such horrible problems with met:( I know how you feel I've been taking met for about three weeks or so and the diarhea is pretty horrible. Its way better now than when i first started but some days i still have some issues lol Try taking an anti diarhea pill those really helped me out! I looked up ways online to prevent it but all i found was carbs and sugar will make things worse....So I guess it will just take time for our bodies to get used to it. All my friends that take it say it gets better:) Sorry I couldnt be more help:( Talk to your dr about lowering your dose or taking you off if it doesnt get better:( Hope you feel better soon

Thanks but I have a severe insulin resistance [Type 2 diabetes] I can't get off it.

I'm just hoping it gets better, which I keep reading it will.

I did manage to keep down a turkey sandwich this morning, it has not been back up yet so I'm taking that as a sign things are going to get better! lol

Hi there, i was the same when i first started taking the met, couldn't keep anything down for a week. Slowly, it got easier but boy do i know it if i eat too many carbs, sugars or forget to take pills!

There is no hard and fast rule on what to eat, it seems different for everyone, but it does get better and it will help!

After the first week i was fine, but boy is that first week awful. Gl hun x
