Mid cycle spotting

Man I'm so confused! Last month I had a chemical. This month I didn't get a positive OPK until CD18. I got positives over the next couple of days until they finally went back to negative. I am now on CD25. On CD21 (what I thought was only 3/5 DPO) I was out at a movie when I felt a strange "wetness," almost like AF had started (but this didn't cross my mind because I mean I was only 3DPO!) but when I got to the car and checked, there was blood. Not dark red like AF, no clots or anything, but a good amount, to the point that it had stained my pants. It was super thin and light red, like if you were bleeding from a wound. By the time I got home the "flow" had stopped and there was just pink-tinged CM. Over the next couple of days, there wasn't any real bleeding but I had some pink-tinged CM and occasional flecks of blood, but still nothing dark or clotted or anything. Then today, on CD25, I have no flow but loads of pinkish-brown-tinged CM. Cervix has remained high and closed the whole time. Our first day of BDing this cycle was CD8 and we BD'd every day/every other day until CD20, so if I O'd earlier than I thought and conceived I could be anywhere from 7-18 DPO (though I doubt I would be that far). I took one pregnancy test the day of the bleeding (what I suspected was 3DPO) but it was negative (it was a CB digi). I haven't been having any cramping but I have been having a pulling/pinching sort of pain in my right pelvic area, almost like O pains or something, plus twinges and a buzzy feeling in my uterus which I had last month while pregnant. I'm worried and confused, as I've never had mid-cycle bleeding in a normal cycle - I've had on one or two occasions a fleck of blood around O-time but nothing this prolonged and "heavy." My boobs are hurting too. I'm really getting kind of worried. I've already been to the ER a few weeks ago to make sure I wasn't still pregnant from the chemical, but they just did a urine test which they said was negative and sent me home. So I'm hesitant to go to the doctor again because I don't want to waste money on a doctor telling me nothing I didn't already know.

I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what could be going on? I'm going back and forth wondering if I o'd earlier than suspected and it's implantation (doubtful, since I didn't get positive OPKs until CD18) or if it's ovulation bleeding or if something bad is happening. Aghhhh AF isn't due for another week.

Have you had a period since your chemical?

Ive never been preggo, so i cant speak from experience, however Ive done alot of reading, and this is what ive read:
a) your chances of getting preggo soon after a chemical/mc are higher due to the leftover hormones still in your system
b) loads of women have IB which is AF like (i.e. more flow than spots)
c) the pinching/pulling pains, buzzing, twinges and sore boobs are all common symptoms of pregnancy

however, I have no answer for all this occuring so early after OV...unless the OPK were wrong and you OV early? or you are suuper dooper fertile and the little egg speed-walked itself into your uterus

Im assuming you dont temp?
If the bleeding has stopped and you are not in any serious pain, then I dont think you have anything to worry about. try to relax and wait until testing day.

mommyof5- no, this is my first cycle since my "period (chemical)". but it had been normal up until now.

The "flow" has pretty much gone away, now I'm just getting lots of pink-tinged CM. Nothing heavy, nothing red/clotted/etc. Still pretty freakin' bizarre. I have no clue what's going on. I'll be testing in a few days but I'm not feeling any cramping really, just some odd pressure and the occasional stab/pinch now and then, plus sore boobs. All of which could be PMS.

I guess we'll find out! Maybe the spotting was a result from hormones after the chemical... so bizarre. Thank you both!

After my most recent chemical I had spotting for almost a week. and actually if I calculate right it would have been a period, because I ovulated 14 days later.

Hi there. I have never had a chemical pregnancy, but I am currently having abnormal spotting. I have a normal 29 day cycle. I started spotting on CD22 and have been ever since, and still today, CD28. It started like brown discharge. Then sometimes I'd see red flecks, sometimes it was barely there at all and very light pink.

I just called and spoke with a nurse today because this has never happened before. She said I don't need to be concerned about spotting unless I am actually "bleeding" as much as a normal period, or heavier than that, or the bleeding is lasting longer than my normal period. There was no explanation given as it can be so many things. It can be an early peiord. (Mine has never been early.) It could be that some fertilization occured and didn't stick, however she said that is unlikely as I am only spotting when I wipe. Normally "passing" something would produce more blood. Could be a sensitive/sore spot that is bleeding a bit somewhere inside. She said it is rare, but could be implantation bleeding. I said I hoped it was at first but since it has lasted so long I didn't figure it was. She said all I can do it wait for AF and go from there. But, again since the spotting is so light, it is nothing to worry about.

thanks for the info hellokitty!! That reassures me a bit. I'm still not spotting at all, just got the pink CM, it's bizarre, but I'm just trying to ignore it and not worry for now.
