 Ladies,

Well as the title really......we have decided on Aoine for a girls name and cannot decide on a middle name to go with it :dohh: DH is less than useless at helping so I though I would ask you ladies for your suggestions :) I am thinking something quite short due to our long surname and like the idea of a name spelt different to how it is pronounced hence Aoine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :hugs:

How do you prn Aoine? :]

Is it like Anna, Anne, Anya?

Wasn't too sure!

But here's a random list anyhow;

Aoine Rose
Aoine Grace
Aoine Bridget
Aoine Natalie
Aoine Madeline
Aoine Stephanie
Aoine Catherine
Aoine Roisin (Rosheen)
Aoine Niamh (Neev)

:]

Hi hon Aoine is celtic and popular in ireland and is pronounced ON-YA

Funny I like Aoine Rose unfortunately my 8mths old niece is called Summer Rose :(

Oh so I was kinda right ;D

N'awh I'm sure you could still use it!

Since it's a middle name it's not really that much of a big deal to use the same one right?

Hm.. What about Aoine Rosalind?
Aoine Rosalie
Aoine Rosabel
Aoine Rosaline? :]

Hey hun... there's an Irish name spelled 'Aine' which is pronounced 'Awn-ya'.

I'll be honest - I've never seen it spelled 'Aoine' before. The only 'Aoine' I know is Irish for 'Friday' and is pronounced 'Eena'.

 whoops hon

I am told there are a few different spellings for the name and have seen both Aine and Aoine pronounced on-ya/awn-ya.....I also found both spellings online as I was looking for a possible irish middle name to go with :) My DH has taken a right shine to the name!

Cool... but I would recommend that you do a bit more research on it first, before making a final decision... 'Aine' is very popular in Ireland, but Aoine isn't. Would hate for you to find out too late that the name isn't what you thought it was. xx
