Mildly raised platelet count

Anyone help shed light on this recent blood test result?

'Mildly raised platelets'

It says nothing else in the letter apart from doing a retest in three weeks....

Really baffled!

I'm 5 weeks 3 days pregnant and not sure what happening...

Hey midwife here, I see it in client every so often and don't bat an eyelid. They come down in pregnancy anyway, much more worried about low platelets.

I have never been more grateful for people like you being around on this site...thank you so much!!! I wasn't worrying as I figured things must go up and down all the time but it's so reassuring to have you comment.

Massive to you ! These vague doctor's letters can put the fear into people wondering whats wrong with you. I had a bad experience last year with a letter that told me a had mild dyskaryosis and that was all it said!!! All is fine now I had a colposcopy but getting that on Xmas eve was a REAL treat lol
