Hi...:flower:

We are currently using 'Dr Browns' bottles, but LO struggles, fidgets & seems to be getting too much milk :baby: (FYI~I switched from b/f a week ago)

I have tried Tommee Tippee CTN ~ Avent & Dr Browns

Have been recommended Mam & Nuk

Which one shall I try next?:wacko::shrug: Im getting confused by the choice & what would suit her best?

ARE YOU USING SLOW FLOW TEATS? sorry about caps

Is varflow the teat that comes with tommee tippee closer to nature?

If so, we have tried that & it also comes out pretty fast! :dohh:

vari flow is for tt but doesnt come with it.

if you look at the teats of tt you have if there is a cross where others have a number then it is a variflow. I have bought numerous tt sets and none of them have come with variflow teats.

Thankyou so much for taking the time to help me :hugs:

The teats I have arent variflow...They are just size 1 :baby:

I am going to go buy some variflow straight away, mayby this is just what she needs....Thankyou again a million :flower::flower::flower:

Its really been getting me down, just not knowing what to try next, after trying so many bottles/teats :dohh:

Will let you know how I/she get on...:winkwink:

we use vari flow....good luck

Sorry Kelly, just seen your still having issues.
I was reading somewhere today, that some lo's do breastfeed a bottle, ie they keep their tongue in the same position as they would on the breast, hence the milk spewing out, which is what was happening with Millie.

We struggled with ttctn size 1, found them very fast, and she didnt get the variflow.
I really recommend the breastflow, they where really really slow as they have to work at it like they do on the breast.

Its such a pain trying to find the right bottle. Weve had Dr Brown's, Nuk, Avent, ttctn, breastflow and now Mams and I have teats coming out of my ears lol.

You could have my breastflow bottles, but I messed with the teat as she was on a thicker feed:blush:

dr brown do an even slower teat than size one - it's for premature babies so maybe you could try them?

Thanks 'worrisome' :hugs: Great link/advice

The variflow didnt work either, so i rang health visitor for advice

She thinks LO is suffering from 'silent reflux'....so i am changing her milk to aptamil comfort & gonna go back to the dr brown bottles

Lets hope it helps her :baby:

can you get the comfort milk from anywhere or do you have to get it ordered in? Would you let us know how she gets on with it please ...good luck

You can get comfort milk from most supermarkets now or mothercare. There are 2 that I know of, Aptamil and Cow and gate.

Oh dear after all that eh, hey Kelly do you not have the Mam bottles still? I found colicky wise (burps) they where better than Dr Browns.
Hope you get it resolved soon.

Bought some tonite, from Tescos (they also sell it in Sainsburys~but were out of stock)

Have given her her 1st bottle of 'aptamil comfort' in a Dr Browns bottle (with size 2 teat,as size 1 was too small for the thick liquid) & she took it really well, slow, but she seemed comfortable drinking it, which is great....

Just hope it wasnt a 'one off'....Its the nite feeds next!

Love your avatar pic...Your LO is too cute

Aw thanks hun:flower: still waiting to see a piccie of your little princess:winkwink:
thats really good about the comfort. You will probably find 2 things, she may not drink as much in each go, as its thicker fills them up, but the second thing is she will be hungry faster as it goes through their system quicker.

good luck with night feeds.
