Which are you guys using any why? I am currently using SMA but people says Aptamil is better???

SMA is very popular but can cause constipation, rashes and other allergic reactions in some babies it does seem to be one that a lot of people change from because of this, however if it doesn't in yours I don't see any problem.

Am I right in saying that Aptamil is more friendly for babies than SMA then? As I am a father that get worried of things

We started with SMA Gold but it made my son constipated, so we changed to Cow & Gate which is much better.

I switched to aptimal early on as jessica got really badly constipated, we used the aptimal comfort digest and never looked back Kx

if your baby is gaining weight well and isnt to sick or constipated then keep with sma. Some babys respond very well to it. we use aptimal but have done from the start. It can make baby constipated switching formula

Cow & Gate. I think it's all a bit of a myth that 'Aptamil is best'.
Whatever you're baby is happy on is best when it comes to formula.

we've used Aptamil from the start and its been fine. No constipation or excess wind issues. But whatever your baby is happy with should be what you should stay with.

Couldn't agree more.

Aptamil caused fountains of vomit in my house.

C&G stage 1 was ok for a while.

C&G hungry baby caused rivers off poo running down the legs.

SMA follow on works for use right now.

There is no 'best', only best for your little one.

ETA, Aptamil is the most expensive so can be viewed as best of you go solely on price and are a bit snobby that way.

Anna is my first baby so we had no idea about formula brands.

I asked midwife what one to get and she recommended Aptamil First - so thats what Anna has been on and had no problems.

I agree, why change if everything is going well?

So, my midwife recommended it, and my friend who works for Cow&Gate says Aptamil First is the best out there.

It is the most expensive formula, an extra £1 a tub maybe which doesnt really add to much for the short amount of time LO is on it, but I found they sell it in Savers for £7.75!!:happydance:
