Thomas doesn't like to feed from the left side, and pretty much refuses it now. Today I offered it again and he refused.

I hand expressed a bit off as it was getting full, and thought it smelt "different", so tried some. It's so salty! It's really weird.

I hand expressed from the right side and it's normal. Watery, sweet and nutty.

Why would one side be all salty? :nope:

He hasn't really nursed from that side for a few weeks but it still makes milk.

When milk sits around unused in the breast (as when you have a plugged duct) it can become salty. It's normal. If you pump or manage to get your LO to nurse from that side just once, you'll probably see the milk on that side return to it's typical flavor.

Wow I learn something new everyday!

Thats so weird! I know I read when you have mastitis the milk can become salty and sometimes the babies will refuse it...human body is so strange lol
