They seem soooo expensive!! Like 7 odd quid for 20 bags seems just crazy to me... where do you buy your freezer bags from??... or how do you freeze the milk??

Also, do you pump into bottle and then fill the bag up once you have enough milk? or do you just freeze each pump seperately?

This is all sooo much more complicated than just popping a boob out!!

i use the ones from boots, i dont know what theyre called but they have mommys milk written on the side? not boots own i dont think

i used to just pump for however long then put it into a bag, you cant put warm milk from the pump straight into a bag with cold milk in the fridge cos of the bacteria but you can put it into a bottle or something till it cools down and then add it to the bag, tbh now though i use storage bottles cos its so much less faff on! the only good thing about the bags imo is that u can write the date on, with the bottles i have to make sure i remember when i put it in

It can be good to freeze in smaller batches so no milk is wasted. If you freeze in big bags, there might be some left over.

I freeze in 100ml amounts, in pots. I also freeze some in icecube trays then pop in a bag, so I have smeller amounts for when I start making food with it.

i got mine from boots. tbh they are about the same price everywhere you go, lucky for me i only used them for emergency milk so only ever purchased 1 box.

I pumped into a bottle then emptied into the bag. i did it 1 pump, 1 bag.

I got mine from ebay with my breast pump. Would also love to know if anyone has found any bargain bags. I've still got loads left but will probably have to buy some more at some point.

I freeze in little amounts too, they defrost better and you don't have to unfreeze loads if you don't need to :)

I got the lansinoh (my mommies milk) bags, they are expensive and you feel guilty if you only freeze a little bit. Plus, one bag leaked :hissy: so I also bought 10 sterifeed bottles from the NCT website, think they cost about 13 quid inc postage and they are reusable and attach direct to my pump. yay.

I got freezable bottles off ebay that went straight on the pump :)

I got 40 bags from tesco for about £4, there the cheaest i have found them yet!!
