This is likely a silly question, but my DD never took to a bottle so I haven't really had to deal with milk storage before.... I pumped 3oz from my engorged boob before running out to an appt and leaving my kids with their nana. My DS hasn't tried a bottle yet, but I didn't know how long I'd be out. Anyyyyways, he was still fast asleep when I got home so the milk wasn't needed. It was fresh pumped and stayed at room temperature. My question... can I turn around and freeze it now? It's been at room temp for about 2hrs now. Nobody wants to throw away liquid gold :haha:

Yes, I would. I left some on the counter once and went back to sleep for 3 hours or so. My house is kept at 18C overnight, but I've read if you have a warmer temperature of around 22C, the time it can stay at room temperature goes down.

Yes at room temp it's fine for 5-6 hours. 5-6 days at the back of the fridge and 6 months in a proper freezer (not an ice compartment) x
