Miscarriage? Advice needed.

Hi ladies,
I've been preparing for my second Iui and taking suprecur spray. The first cycle went all to plan but bfn. My period was due last Thursday, 10 days late. I'd done a test but was negative. I went to the beach today and was helping my daughter fly her kite. I fell while running backwards and laughed. But a minute after I got up I got serious cramps, was nearly sick. They lasted ten minutes and I haven't felt great since. Soon I felt wet and when j went to the loo I was bleeding. I'm sti cramping now. I told my dh and my mum this morning I wouldn't get my period for days. I didn't feel it coming at all and my cm was bright White, no hint of pink like I usually get a couple of days before. What do u think? Have I jolted my period into starting (although I've never heard of this before) or have I miscarried despite my bfn?
Please let me know what u think? Should I call doctor?

Well if your test was negative I don't think it could have been a miscarriage. It could have been an ovarian cyst that ruptured - I have had this happen and it is quite painful. It could also just be the timing of your period just being late, have you been stressed at all? I know that my last cycle I was stressed because I was excited about starting school/upgrading again. I have since then finished that course and ovulated the next cycle. But to be safe you could call your doc to order a blood test and see if your hcG is elevated at all. HTH!

Hey thanks for replying, I just read my post and I sound quite illiterate with all my short sentences. Ah well. I'm not the sort who thinks they've had a miscarriage every cycle but this felt grim. I didn't think I was pregnant this cycle at all until I felt that pain after I fell, it wasn't a normal pain from a fall at all. My period never starts with pain. I usually don't get cramps until I have a flow and usually it starts gently. I've been waiting for it for ten days so I've been paying attention but no am not stressed at all. Guess I'll never know.

Did u bleed when cyst ruptured?

Oh yeah I sure did, tons of clots and the pain was so severe that I fainted!!!! Alot of women have them and don't even realise it!

I'd read that a cyst was a likely cause of the period being so delayed when on suprecur so u could be right. Did u see a doctor then or did u just know that's what happened?

What's suprecur? Cysts are sometimes very painful. If this is what happened, you should get in to see asap to make sure you didn't get an infection. How long ago did this happen? Usually they can do an emergency U/S to make sure.

For mine, they found this on a routine scan back last year in April. I had late periods from it. And I had it rupture this May. I was in the hospital the month before that due to late period and pain. It ruptured a few days later - fainted on a city bus on the way to get the ultrasound to confirm the cyst was still there. it turns out I had the cyst rupture which caused the fainting spell and this was confirmed via ultrasound.

Poor you. Sounds terrible. It's one of the drugs u take to suppress your natural hormones in an Iui or ivf cycle. Basically they strip your own hormones out and then replace them in the right amounts at the right times. It happened about three hours ago. Am laid up in bed now. Cysts are a side affect of suprecur.

Oh, I see. Awww I'm sorry you're going through this. I feel your pain though. Is the pain bearable? I took tylenol 3 to help with the pain. Try not to drink too much liquid because it presses against your ovaries and causes more intense pain. Take care of yourself! Pain should pass in a few more days.

hey love dnt want to read and run it could have been a mc i had mine with a bfn the day before went to dr and he confirmd it i also took a hpt 1 week later and it was bfp because my mc was incomplete or sumfin lol if your woried maybe go to your dr x

Thanks ladies. Am at the hospital but feel like am wasting Everyones time. Bleeding mad heavy but test they did was negative. Waiting on a scan now but should just go home I think.

I would wait on the scan just to be safe! And they can give you something for the pain.

Well Megan u were right. Scan showed fluid that suggests I had a cyst that burst.

Yeah, free fluid. She had implied I was an idiot when I suggested it and then stopped talking during the scan before back tracking and finally admitting it prob was a cyst! Argh, doctors!!!

lol...i post alot of questions! i am 5 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow. it was a huge shock to me to find out - i found out last friday when I was 1 day late for my period.

i got my bloodwork done on monday and i am going in today to get the results. i am going to request one more blood requisition to see if levels are doubling. i am in shock as it was our first month with no protection. no OPK's, no BBT nothing. Just having alot of sex. I can't beleive it!

That being said, since I have had 1 blighted ovum I am scared that it will happen again as pregnancy can still continue even with this and you can still have symptoms and find out you have an empty sac. Well I'm so sorry to bother you with my stuff and I hope you get your + soon
