I've had differing advice - the nurses at EPAU advised wait at least until your next AF as you are a little bit more likely to mc again in the cycle right after an mc. Other info onthe net says that advice to wait is based only on ease of dating the next pregnancy as mc can delay your ov. I guess all you can do is see how you feel!

DH and I have decided to wait until my next AF then try again in October, mostly to make sure we're fully recovered mentally, but I'm C14 today and am finding it difficult not to try right away. Guess I'll definately be ready next cycle.

Thanks for the info. I'm like you in that I know I'll find it very difficult not to try straight away, although I suppose it would be more sensible to wait one cycle first. I'm finding that I swing between feeling like hanging out on the TTC boards and needing to be back here! Just keep trying to see the positives but sometimes to do that I have to go back and talk about it to deal with all the conflicting emotions. I'm still charting this month to keep a track of my cycle.
I'll keep an eye out for you in TTC!

Hey girls, Im so sorry that you are all going through this. I was diagnosed with blighted ovum yesterday after 3 scans one week apart so I have opted for medical management. I had a mmc two years ago this month and had to have the same which resulted in my having strong contraction like pains and then I also passed the sac in its entirety and had to take it to the EPAU for them to check it. If you do pass the sac (you will be able to tell a it is quite distinctive) definely call your emergency gynae ward or epau if your hospital has one and ask their advice as they may want you to come in and get checked over. Count me 3 as "going through the process" right now. I'm supposed to be 6W 5D but my gestational sac measured at 5W with no fetal pole or yolk sac. 3 days ago I started having tiny brown discharge and very minor cramping that's unlike the typical pulls you get from being pregnant. Today, I started getting more heavy fresh red blood... but only twice so far. I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow, I'm opting to either get a D&C and get it over with and heal quicker, or let it go naturally, and have it bleed out for 5 weeks before my AF comes again. We'll see. My last m/c, I opted for the pill which gave me 10 full hours of gut wrenchingly painful contractions which I swore I'll never go through again. As for trying again, I'm waiting until November so I get at least 1 normal cycle. It's better anyways, to know when you ovulated for sure so you know exactly when you concieved.

Just read through your posts,so sorry that we are all going through and have gone through this.

I had m/c 25th August @ 10 weeks(my third one now,first two were 10 years ago)

My m/wife said try as soon as your ready......hospital said wait 1 period.......not been not trying. But now confused as hospital say more likely to miscarry if get pregnant right after miscarriage! No sign of as yet.
Might have to wait......being sensible........don't think could cope with another m/c so soon. Then again could already be pregnant....just don't know.

Hey Charliesmum - I know what you mean about the pain - I did the wait naturally bit on my first mmc but to be honest, after I waited 5 weeks and nothing happened I really could not wait any longer and so had the pill which to my relief made it all happen quickly so I didnt even need to go to the hospital for the 2nd stage. No such luck this time, I opted for the pill again so as to try to avoid D&C and nothin happened till I went to the hospital for the 2nd set on Friday and my GOD I forgot how painful it was.... was stuck in the hospital for 8 hours as they wouldnt let me go when still in pain. I must say though that I would still opt for the pill if I needed to again as at least I know that it would hurt like hell but would be over soon enough. Whats more, no cramps to mention after I came from hospital and bleeding almost finished so all in all a faster recovery I think - for me anyway.

I think I too will wait to try until November as I think it is better to wait a month just to give myself some time to heal - I think there will be a few of us in TTC at the same time Good luck girls.

Well, long story short... had a scan, no D&C But lots of internal bleeding, outside my womb that they dont kno where its coming from!
Other than that, feelig ok, off on my hols on Sun, and looking forward to ttc again, gonna b Nov x

Good to hear you are off on hols, hope you going somewhere nice and hot with this horrid weather we having. Think DH and I will book a break once my bleeding has stopped and we will try again once I have all clear after my follow up scan in 2 weeks.... we may get BFP together hun xx what a lovely christmas pressie that would be eh?
