missed miscarriage what to expect?

Hi ladies, I went for my 12 week scan today and found out the baby had died at 9 weeks to be honest its not much of a shock as about 2 weeks ago my symptoms disappeared and I started spotting last night and cramping today, I decided to wait it out at home and now I'm really scared, has anyone else been through this and could you maybe share your experiences with me?
today I have started bleeding red so it looks like its going to happen naturally I'm so worried I'm just trying to prepare myself I spose

My MMC was over in one night . It was pretty bad pain and the bleeding and clotting was worst then I had in labour , was stressful at the time but over in one night and spotted very lightly for around 2 days after.

One month on and I fell pregnant again. Good luck to you xxxxx

Has the MC happened for you already? I had a loss at about the same gestation as you. I started heavy bleeding about 4 days after the first spotting. The worst was over within a few hrs but it took it a few weeks to compleat in my case. I know some people find it quite painful. It wasnt actually that painful for me, just strongish dull period like cramps, not really sharp pain. Unfortunatly I did hemorrage and I wish I had been a bit better clued in about danger signs and when to go to hospital as it turned a bit scary. Most ladies dont have any serious problems going naturally though. The worst part is the emotional bit, not the physical part. Sorry for your loss and hugs.

Thank you ladies its been 3 days since the scan the spotting has got worse and I am getting a few very light period pains but nothing much has happened im prepared with pain killers and a leaflet of when to go to hospital so I've just got to wait it out really. I've been stuck in as I'm too scared to go to far in case it happens when I'm out ��

The waiting part is hard. I remember not being sure if I wanted it to happen quick and be over or take longer so I didnt have to come to terms with it being over. I think you are fine to go out but I wouldn't get to far from home especially if you are on your own. They say a walk can help to speed things along if thats what you want.

Sorry if this is too direct but think about what you want to do about the sac when it passes Lots of ladies flush the toilet and then wish they hadn't. Others look and wish they hadn't. There is no right or wrong way just think about what you will do. I felt seeing my baby would give me closure but in the end the sac didn't come out whole so there was nothing to see. Again sorry if I am overstepping its just the kind of thing that no one talks about so you dont know what to expect.

It's fine Hun it's things like this no one every tells you!
I am a little worried about seeing the baby I'm more worried about accidentally flushing it and then feeling guilty forever, but I guess I'll just have to see what happens, this waiting is so hard especially not know what's going to happen next. I wish I'd done the OP is but even then I would of had to wait a week to be rescanned as the hospital likes to "make sure" I think I need to go through this though to except it if that makes sense? Sorry for rambling!

So sorry for your loss hun! I had
a loss at 11 weeks a while back. Once the bleeding started it turned heavy after a few days and with clots. Some clots were pretty large. And there were contractions, but not too painful. I never needed pain meds as it was not too bad. I never saw the sack of the baby and it seems better​ this way. The whole thing lasted about 3 weeks naturally.
Now I feel it's for the best as I got pregnant the month after with my daughter. Again, sorry you are going through this and I hope​ it's quick for you

You are not rambling at all. I totally understand. Going through it naturally felt important to me at the time. It is all so unreal feeling. I was in a bit of a daze for the first few days. One day as far as I knew there was a healthy growing baby inside of me and the next day everything had changed but physically other than slight spotting nothing actually felt different. It takes a bit of getting your head around. The physical bit of the MC process isn't nice think about but I did find it felt like part of the healing process. Because I wanted to keep the remains the ladies on here told me once the bleeding picked up a little to pee through a sieve to make sure I didn't miss it.

If it helps even though my natural MC ended turning complicated in a lot of ways it wasn't as bad as I expected. It is always the emotional bit that is the hardest to cope with. Hugs

So it's started.......the pains are intense and are coming and going like contractions was only spotting till just now a large clot come out...... sorry still not much bleeding so far thank you ladies you really helped keep me calm at a time when it felt like I was the only one in the world this has happened to!

thank you it all happened yesterday i went from brown spotting to big clots in the space of an hour then was passing some of the biggest clots ive ever seen sorry!
the pain was really bad like contractions coming in waves but manageable at one point i did bleed really heavy i put on a pad stood up and soaked straight through it and all over the floor in the bathroom luckily my husband was there and he was amazing!!! at one point i felt like i was going to pass out and he kept me calm just before the end i felt my waters break then passed a massive clot and instantly the pain was gone.

although it was bad i think id built it up so much in my mind that it wasn't as bad as i was expecting, i'm hardly bleeding now and to today and i'm feeling the emotional side more today i'm so glad i decided to do it naturally now i think i needed to do it to except what has happened and move on.
