missing period after lap

I know that there is a large thread on endometriosis, but thats not exactly what I had a question about. My husband and I have been ttc for two and a half years now. I finally went to the doctor to be seen for infertility and they decided to do a laparoscopy. I had my lap two weeks ago and had some normal bleeding right afterwards, but now I'm supposed to have had my period a week ago. They did burn out a lot of endo and I also had a chocolate cyst that they burned away also. Has anyone else experienced this that they skipped their period right after the lap? My husband and I would really like to start trying but its hard when you don't know when your ovulating.

after mine I guess I skipped as cycle as I didn't have a period for 46 days, then it dropped to 34, then had 2 cycles at 28 and ever since then its fluctuated wildly between 24 and 38 days (my last 2 have been 30 days so hoping after a year and a half its fixing itself)

before hand I was a fairly regular 29 days

Hi, i had a lap&dye in october and I waited ages for af , I think my cycle that month was 58 days! And they aint getting any better either my cycles are usually about 35 days xx

That is a very long time. I don't know if I can wait that long. Do you know if you ovulated during that time? I was only given 8-12 months that I could try to conceive and I would like to take advantage of the short amount of time that I have.

thought mine was fixing itself but nope gone and lost a week again

I wish I could help but if I knew how to fix it I would be pregnant by now too

have you taken any ovulation tests even though your period seems to be irregular? I'm just curious if because your period doesn't come when it should, does that mean that you don't ovulate that month?

My thought is maybe I can still try to get pregnant even if it's going to be irregular for a couple months. Here's to hoping its only a couple months.

I wasnt for over a year (hospital tests confirmed) but I seem to be now although still not having any luck (might still be week or have other issues)

buy some OPK and see if you get a surge
