Money question for new mums

i'm trying to work out how many hours i need to go back to work for. wondering how much an average couple are left with as "spending money" for themselves i.e AFTER house bills, mortgage, car ins, petrol etc, food, childcare, nappies etc. I.e how much money they have in their pockets for themselves to spend, holidays, clothes etc. Does anyone mind sharing? ( comments not money! lol)

I think it depends how much your husband earns really!
I am a stay at home mum so earn 0 but we have enough fir the 5 of us my husband has a pretty average salary so you dont need to earn a huge amount.

when my daughter was little i worked part time (around 16 - 20 hours) and tbh it just wasnt worth the hassle for the amount i was bringing home after costs. I you have someone to provide cheap chilcare then that will make ALOT of difference!
