Hi
I recently found out I am pregnant and both my partner and I are so pleased :D
However I find myself worrying about how we will cope after the baby is born. Due to our low income we live in a flat built on the side of his parents house which is not ideal but has suited us until now. His parents are not the easiest of people to live with and we are unsure how they are going to take to the news of us having a baby.
we would love a place of our own but can't afford the rent/bills and childcare costs alone are more than I bring home in my wage.

If i dont return to work to save on childcare I dont know how we would live on my boyfriends wage alone of about £800 a month
:sad2:

Just checking before I babble on lol!! Housing benefit will top up the rent on a private rented house also with your OH wage being so low you will get tax credit which top up wages, if you go back to work tax credits will also pay upto 80% of child care fee's!!

There is such a stigma around benefit but honestly for genuine people who work and try there best to pay there way they are a massive help :)
i think everyone has money worries to begin with but im sure you will find a way to manage and everything will work out!!
wishing u a happy and healthy pregnancy xx
P.s sorry about any typo's I'm on my phone
