Hi,

Just after a bit of advice on baby monitors.... i haven't got a clue!!!!!

In your experience which ones are good (and which are shit) and why.

All i know is i would like one with a decent range and can give you some indication of the temperature in the babies room. I'm looking to purchase one shortly so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!!!

Ive got an Angelcare sound and movement monitor, tells you them temp in the room, monitors baby's breathing and of course it does sound. If no movement is detected after 15seconds then an alarm sounds - I've only ever had mine go off once and that was because the sensor pad got wedged against the side of his moses basket. The instructions that come with it are a bit rubbish though - think I've finally figured it out now!

We use Tomy Walkabout and its been great for us. I can hear her breathing through it. Its got quite good range aswell which is great when I'm in the garden and she's napping upstairs.

We've got a Tomy Walkabout Classic advance. It was almost the most basic model, just has the lights so you can turn down the volume and a nightlight we don't really use but might in the future. I can recommend it. It wasn't expensive particularly. I don't think you need more than that. The ones with movement monitors and things are not always great and can make you worry more I think.

We use the bt 150, it has got a temperature warning, a good variety of lullabys, a two way talk system and you can even attach it to your i pod and play other songs through it! The sound is crystal clear and I love it!!!x
