I am wondering if anyone has ever had a 100% okay pregnancy with known HPV-16 infection? I found out I have CIN-II just in time for me to be married to the love of my life and trying to start a family. I am now 6+2.
I am not sure why websites do not share the truth. Here is what the research actually shows: HPV infection, especially with the "high risk" types, can absolutely harm your unborn baby. It is associated with higher rates of miscarriage since the virus targets placental cells, compromising their development. HPV is also associated with pre-eclampsia, low birth weight, prematurity, and worst of all, transmission to the child.
Clinical studies can be found at the following: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3071105/ https://www.humanpathol.com/article/S0046-8177(98)90228-3/abstract
