Moses basket bedding - very strange

We've just noticed on our moses basket from Mothercare, the 2.5 tog "coverlet" that comes with it, the lable says "not recommended for babies under 12 months"

Eh?

Do babies over 12 months even fit in a moses basket???

There is also a note about overheating and presumably this is what they are concerned about.

Anyone else noticed this kind of thing?

Yeah.. I've never understood why they sell them with them, as you are not meant to use duvets or coverlets for under ones!!

I think it is because of the overheating and possible suffocation...

I know, it is crazy!!! I think they are there to look nice when not in use and to co-ordinate with the other things you may have, daft idea!
