I've got a 2 year old coming over all day tomorrow to trial for me being her nanny. Her mum and I are really good friends, I've known her for years, I held her baby when she was only a few days old, I used to baby sit this bub frequently when she was TINY! So... part of me isn't worried.

I also worked in a nursery with 0-2 year olds, so I know 2 year olds.

BUT I'm so out of practise, my brain is only able to think of Jasper at the moment... what do two year olds do at home?

Like, I've looked after 2 year olds when there are other 2 year olds to play with, HEAPS of activity resource, a very precise routine and 2 other staff members to assist and guide.

SO.... like... what does a 2 year old do at home with mummy?

ALSO, I've got things that I do in my normal week, like mothers group on a thursday and PND support group on friday - they're important adult time and the PND support is pretty essential to my survival - how do you think this'll go with a 2 year and a bub in tow? They're both within walking distance, but just from mums with 2 children, how much more restricting is two over just one.

*deep breath and fingers crossed* if this works out, it'll mean much needed relief for our tight budget!

ALSO if this little girl doesn't add too much strain to my day, I have another friend with a baby Jaspers age who wants me to nanny a couple of days a week also, while she waits for days in her daycare.... if I can handle three at once.... that would be a dream financially!

I've had 10 babies and only an assistant to help me on more than one occasion - its painful, but possible... so three, when one is my own, should be EASY! .... in theory.....

We can also totally paint the concrete! hehe!

Hell, I'd be tempted to paint the concrete with real paint - we can have a high pressure hose on standby!

That's too funny. Sounds like she's going to have a ball! Too bad you're in Sydney, I could use a nanny!! :hugs:

Where abouts are you from?
