Starting to really freak out now. Its been nearly five days since I felt the first kick from left twin. Before that there was plenty of wriggles. But since then nothing, just a slight flutter from right twin.

My bump has gone quite big the last few days, is this why i cant feel them bcos theyve got more space? 😔😥

17 weeks is still quite early to feel regular movements, twins or not, you will probably start to feel them a lot more regular in a couple of weeks. Try not to worry about it :)

You can always get checked out if you're worried :) Give your midwife a call

If you're worried, it's better to be safe than sorry. Give your midwife a call or the hospital. Even if it turns out that everything is fine, you're better to get checked to put your mind at ease x

Just replied on a similar post, for some reason 16-17 weeks seems to be the "magic number" when we stop feeling our babies for a bit, I completely freaked out around the same time because suddenly I stopped feeling movement, I'm 24 weeks now and this little guy is moving all the time, not sure why that seems to happen but I agree with pp, if you're concerned, ask your midwife/ob

I think it has something to do with the way the baby is lying at this early stage. I couldn't feel anything and I had a scan at 14 and 16 weeks and both times the baby was lying facing my spine. I had a scan yesterday and the baby was lying facing up, and bam! I can feel little taps! :)

Still quite early to feel constant movement. I started feeling constant movement around 20 weeks and this is my third. If concerned you can always go to the doctor.

I had about a week of no movement at around this stage. My midwife said it was because suddenly there was more space (whereas before baby was squashed down low). I went in the have the heartbeat listened to anyway. I'd say get checked out for your own peace of mind but try not to worry too much.

I was feeling tiny squiggles very early and regularly from about 13 weeks and then at 17 weeks absolutely nothing for the entire week. I was very concerned as well. I assumed that since I started feeling movement so early it would just continue to get stronger and stronger. However, 18 weeks movement started again (or I should say I felt movement again because I'm sure it never stopped) and now baby is squirming away all the time. Do call if you are worried, but just wanted to reassure you that I went through a very similar experience.

I had 4 days where i felt nothing and even though I know it was early I popped into epac as Ive had two previous losses so felt a little twitched, they reassured me with the doppler. Im 19 weeks now with #2 and until tonight had only felt tiny flutters/ pressure but tonight ive had 3 bigger kicks ☺ until tonight i hadnt felt baby move properly since sunday night x

My Dr told me not to worry about feeling regular movements til 24-25wks, im sure everything is fine :)

I never felt my baby until almost 20 weeks. I think you will be ok. I don't even think you're suppose to start feeling regular moment until around 28 weeks. I have a doppler for those days when baby is quiet. Doppler doesn't mean everything is ok, but it helps a little. Try drinking a bunch of orange juice and laying down. I hope your babies start wiggling wiggling wiggling very soon.

Thank you everyone I feel much better now!! Thankfully I have a midwife appt today anyway so I will mention it just in case. Xxx

Totally normal. With this pregnancy (twins) I started feeling movement at 13 1/2 weeks. Not regularly but occasionally. My Dr's didn't even advise me to start counting kicks until 24 weeks when babies are more active, and now at 29 weeks I am waking up from feeling them move. They have their quiet moments, but mostly when I've been on my feet for awhile. Normally active right after I eat, and 2 hours after I eat a meal. Don't worry babies are flipping around and when they are facing your back you are less likely to feel movement at 17 weeks time.

Hopefully the midwife will listen in to reassure you

Saw the midwife today! She said it's perfectly normal for movements to not be constant because of the growth spurts and their position because they have a bit more room. Left baby has just been having a little party tonight so feel much better now xx
