my 6 week old doesnt burp much!!

hi, should babies always burp after a feed. sometimes we are winding lexie for an hour and get nothing, she does trump alot tho lol.
she is on wysoy milk due to having a milk allergy and uses avent bottles if this is relevant.

also anyone any tips on keeping her awake a bit in the day? she sleeps all day and is really hard to wake then doesnt sleep much at night

My little boy seems the same, some feeds i get wind up no bother then the next time i can be sat for an hour and get nothing. I am planning on asking my HV tomorrow is he has to wind every feed, xx

I asked the HV and she said not all babies bring up wind at every feed, if the baby seems happy and content it may just be that there is no wind to bring up xx

Hi, my baby uses avent bottles and teats and never burps much, he is now on infacol and colief due to colic and these both help him bring his wind up (you can buy both in boots and tesco and probably most other chemists). The infacol is £4 but beware the colief is £10. Lucky for me I get the colief on repeat prescription. There are a few products in the shop to help wind your baby.

To keep him awake I have lots of toys that squeek and play music. I play the music and move his hands/feet to the music and tickle his feet. I will put him on his play mats aswell.
