I asked matthew when he came in from school yesterday if he wanted to write his letter to santa so we could get it posted in time and he laughed at me :nope:
I asked what wass funny, and he told me that santas not real so theres not much point in writing a letter :nope:

I guess its a sign that hes growing up and i guess i could expect him to believe in santa for ever but i cant help feeling a bit sad :nope:
He used to be so excited about santa coming, he would write a letter each year and be excited about posting it.
He would put a mince pie, carrot and drink out and hang his stocking at the end of his bed on xmas eve and he would run in to us first thing in the morning so excited that santa had been. its sad to think that he wont ever be that excited again

Awwww no i am dreading it when my son doesnt believe he is 6 at the mo & gets very excited writing his letter out, leaving food for Santa & the reindeers & watching Santa Claus the movie xmas eve

I believed in Sanat until i was 13 & was gutted to find out he wasnt real LOL i hope that my son believes in it for as long as possible, I know some kids find out real early but i hope they dont ruin it for the kids that do believe

thats exactly what happened, it was a few older kids at school that told him. bless him, he told me that he tried to tell them that they were wrong but they just made fun of him :growlmad:
kids really can be horrible sometimes :nope:

I have a while yet but I suppose they will grow up one day!! My niece still believes in Santa and she is 5 I cant imagine her not believing though. When she learns he isnt real she is going to ruin it for the twins. lol

:(

My 9 year old daughter has been asking questions and really watching these past two years. She seems to still believe yet she does have a friend who's been told there is no Santa or Tooth Fairy so I imagine she's told Amanda. Perhaps my daughter refuses to believe or is humoring me.

My 7 year old son must have had a talk with his friend during a playdate over a week ago. After his friend left my son asked me why I go out every night around Christmas. Well, for one I don't go out every night and I do most shopping during the day while they are at school. Anyhow he said that he knows it's me that buys the gifts. He's also repeated this after.

I think the time is coming but I will toy with them for as long as I can.

its really sad isnt it, i know to some people it might sound silly but it really feels kind of like the end of an era x

Aww... so sad... just brought tears to my eyes! I will be so sad when that day comes!

I was so sad when my little sister found out about santa. It was a few weeks before christmas and she was staying at her friends house and the girl mum said oh I better buy the santa presents soon. I was so pissed :grr: What kind of woman says that to a child before christmas. She had already sent off her letter and everything

It is like an end of an era. They are growing up. :( At least I still have Chase but he will probably find out earlier than the others found out because they will probably tell him.

I have a while too yet & I'm dreading it but my nieces are 7 & 4 & I know soon my oldest neice will find out from people at school  like you say its an end of an era & it is sad.
What my sister will do though is tell her all about the story behind it & why its still exciting even when you know its mummy & daddy buying the presents.
S has asked a few questions, like how does he get down the chimney, & why arent we allowed to go in nanna's spare room if santa delivers the presents etc & we always manage to come up with something to stop her finding out the truth.
I mean I know santa isnt really (pains me to say) & I'm 27 & still get excited about christmas

Aww hun :hugs:

i'm dreading next year cause my little lady is gonna be 9, I really hope I get another year or 2 out of her believing but I doubt it  xx
