So basically my son wets the bed almost every single night, sometimes it is EVERY night of the week then the following week it will be every other, we have already tried stopping him drinking after 5.30pm (drink with dinner) I get him up when i go up to bed at around 11 for a wee (he goes at 7.30)
we have used pull ups because we honestly did think he was being "lazy" i know how awful that sounds but he has on more than one occasion thrown up on himself in the night and slept covered in sick because he didn't want to get up :dohh: that's not normal is it ?!

We try not to be super strict about it because i know that making it into a huge deal will just make him feel worse about it, but it is hard to hide my disappointment. :dohh:

The amount of washing is insane, sometimes he gets up in the night after weeing himself changes his pjs strips off his sheets (without alerting anyone else) and then goes back to sleep and wets himself again. So the mattress is ruined, and I have bedding and TWO sets of pjs wash. it's a little bit infuriating to be honest.

He goes up to junior school in September and eventually he will want to stay out at a friends house or vice versa but that obviously isn't possible.

He potty trained at 3, very easily. infact he potty trained without a single nighttime "incident" then he turned 5 and started weeing the bed, which surprised me has he had never had an accident EVER and then to suddenly start peeing the bed is a bit strange ? this was on and off until his brother was born and he started weeing the bed every single night for the longest time. Now he has just gone back to almost every night :nope:

I don't know what to do now, his room stinks! i clean it and air it out but if you're peeing in it everynight it is going to start to have a faint odour.

Oh i should add; whenever he stays with his dad he never has an accident! so i'm not sure what to think. is this emotional ?

I would see a doctor hun, I've heard medical professionals ignore it until 7 and after that they will look into it, would be worth seeing if he just doesn't wake up or if there is a psychological issue. It must be frustrating, don't be afraid to seek help x

My friend had this with both her boys. Her GP referred her to a specialist clinic and they have her a senior which goes off when they wet. It worked and now they are both dry at night.

Thank you both . I suppose I'll make an app with the GP then. I hadn't bothered as I didn't see how they could help. But if they can then great :)

My nephew used to do this so my brother and his wife started just taking him to the bathroom a few times a night. I know you said you take him before you go to bed at 11pm but if you can do it a couple more times during the night (they barely even wake up), it might work. It worked for my nephew. He kind of learned to just go himself in the night if he needed it. There hasn't been a wet sheet since.

It might not be for everyone but it's the best I have. :/
