My Baby Can Eat Forever!

My little angel is 8 days old today, and I swear, he can eat 24/7!!!!! I'm pumping, and bottle feeding for some of it, and sometimes giving him formula. He can swig back 120ml!!! Does that sound like a lot for a new born? He was 8lbs 14oz, so maybe it's because he's a little big? I'm scared of over feeding him Any advice?

Olivia used to feed 24/7 for the first couple of weeks. Im very sure its totally normal. I never gave her a bottle so I don't know exactly how much she was taking, but I read that just letting them suck increases your supply so you shouldn't keep getting to the stage where you need to top them up. xxxxxxx

Mine did that at around 12 days/2 weeks, I think it was a growth spurt or sumthing? He wanted to be fed every 1,5 hours!!

It is easier for a baby to get milk out of a bottle, so it can be possible to give a little too much in a bottle.

When I was feeding EBM in a bottle, it was recommended that I don't give more than 4oz at a time, and to pace the feeding.

Can I ask why you are pumping?
