Hi ladies, i have not been a big poster on here but would like to announce the birth of my gorgeous girl evie born 16th may at 10.25 am.
My story in short. She was born at 41wks 1 day. I had visited midwife on tuesday and had been given a sweep, cervix still long and prosterior. Afterwards i went a walk hoping ti bring on some pains, i had nothing. Went to bed at 12.30 am wednesday morning and woke at approx 2.45am with a pain in bottom of bump, thought i needed a pee. Contractions started regular at 3.45 every 5 mins lasting for 1 min. I went to maternity hosp at half 6 to be checked over. They didnt think i was in active labour. They were really busy so i thought i would get sent home. I asked to be checked as i was sure i was going home. The first midwife could not find my cervix but wanted a secind opinion. The more experience midwife checked me and said you be pleased to know you are 8 cm. I wanted a water birth but by the time it filled i only got around 30 mins in it before i had urge to push. couple of pushes later she was here. completely natural birth with no pain relief and she weighed 9lb 2. I was taken out pool quickly as there was alot of blood, i had a massive bleed and placenta came away within 4 mins of birth. it was like a scene out of saw. I have a 2nd degree tear but its all worth it.
ladies i recommend rlt, pineapple and epo as i hold them responsible for my quick labour. It was my first child and no-one can believe it happened so quick with no pain reluef as i am a wimp. Good luck and thanks to all ladies still waiting, its completely worth it!! x
