just gotten around to posting this. iv had a busy few days.
had an elective c-section booked on my due date down to not feeling much movement and a very much closed cervix so couldnt have my vbac.
so went in at 7.45 on tuesday 22nd june. i was 3rd on the list but down to loads of emergencys that day and kept getting told "your next" about 5 times i ended up being postponed to the wednesday. i was so upset as i had fasted all day and was all keyed up to meet my baby.
i ended up being taken about 12 next day as there was another emergency and a triplet delivery!! started getting very nervous. had my spinal and then my OH kevin came in. we requested for the screen to be lowered to see her being taken out as when i had my emergency section last time i didnt actually feel like i had given birth to robert and someone on here kindly advised me to ask for this. i felt a bit lightheaded and sick maybe down to spinal and nerves and almost changed my mind but im so glad i didnt... my beautiful girl came into the world at 1.01pm 23rd june. we heard her crying even before her head came out
was amazing to see... and they just kept pulling and pullling and i thought her body was never gonna end... a massive 8lb5 bearing in mind im only 5 ft
god knows where she was hiding in me. my midwife had estimated 6 to 6 n a half lbs. no wonder i never felt much movement
. i got my skin to skin contact in the recovery room and unlike my previous birth where my DS was taken to SCBU for 10 days she has never left my side since. i love her soooo much. breastfeeding is a lot harder to establish than i remeber but im really trying to persevere and my beautiful Honey-Louise Hannah Love is starting to get the hang on it.
