Finally!
my beautiful princess has arrived at 40+6, weighing 7"11.
So because alot of you other new mums/mummies to be have helped me alot through my pregnancy, I thaught I'd share my labour and birth story.

First of all, my birth plan was-
nothing fancy, epidural, my mother and Karl(ex) to be there.

So, 14th April, I had my bloody show at 4am, contractions started at 4:30 eight minuets apart.
Went into hospital and they said I'm in latent labour (which meens early labour), at about 2pm they stopped. 7pm they started up again this time alot more painful, carried on continuously starting at being 17 minuets apart and gradually getting closer together, longer and stronger.
When they were at 6 minuets apart (about 2am) I headed to the hospital (20 minuet drive) and my contractions went from being 6 minuets apart to 3 mineuts. At this point I asked Karl to come down and he didn't reply. I had an internal and found out I was already 5cm dilated. Taken straight to the low dependency ward and was introduced to my midwife. Within 5 minuets I was in a lavender bath (soooooo nice) with gas and air, my contractions were coming every minuet or so but I couldn't feel a thing (gas and air is amazing). Stayed in the bath for 3 hours until I was due to be examined again at 6:30am, to which I found out I was 8cm. I rang Karl again but no answer.
I had an hour out of the bath and tried to eat some toast but threw it up so I got back in the bath, at 9:10am I was ready to push and give 7 big pushes and out came baby at 9:38am.
After having skin to skin, i give another 3 big pushes and out came the placenta.
I had a great labour, me and my mum, a water birth and only on gas and air so it was basically a drug free birth and I was so proud of myself when I finally realised she was here.

Unfortunately for me it wasn't all happy endings as i was taken to theatre with a third degree tear, and too much blood loss. After being stiched up I was taken back into my labour room to which I ended up fainting twice and waking up to midwifes fussing over me whilst I was layed on the bathroom floor covered in blood (it looked like something out of a horror movie, no joke, after birth is not a pretty sight). Ive stayed in hospital overnight and just had my routine checks, me and baby are doing well and will be going home today.

So once again, I'd just like to give a big thanks to all you ladies that have helped me through this pregnancy and give me advice on everything. I hope your baby's come soon and your labours are as easy as mine was (apart from the after birth part).
Love of love, me and daisy willow <3
