I woke up at 4am friday morning and felt the right side of my tummy rupture got out of bed and my waters started trickling down my leg. I thought this carn't be it i am not ready. My mum came round as OH was away working (first night away in ages typical.)
Arrived at the hospital at 6.30 am and they strapped me to to the heart monitor for half an hour and by then my contractions had started, which i may add i found very very painful they started in my back passage and i felt like i needed a good ....... then i had a show and the midwife checked me and i was 2cm dilated. After this everything seemed to go so fast i must have missed the light and medium pain contractions because within the hour i was pushing and thats when the room became really busy with a sea of different faces. I pushed for nearly an hour with Emily her head was stuck and i couldn't quite get the sixth push that would push her all the way out, so they cut me a little and then finally she entered the world at 11.55am weighing 5lb 15 oz. Charlotte was breech so the doctor put her hands inside and pulled her legs to the entrance(my mum said it was like a calf been born)Charlotte was born at 12.08 pm weighing 3lb12oz.
I found the whole experience not half as bad as i had thought and i did it all with only paracetomol as pain relief woohoo.
I carn't believe how fast it all was i thought i would be in labour for ages.
Daddy managed to get back 4 hrs after it was all over, but OMG did he have a smile on his face.
