So, I had my section almost two weeks ago. It was a elective C-section. DH and I went to the hospital bright and early in the morning. They hooked me up to an iv, and got me ready to go!

Getting the spinal anesthesia was not bad at all. With my son, it was painful because they put it in the wrong spot, but I asked them to be really careful, and it was fine.

Then, they layed me down. At this point with my son, they put up the curtain, but with my daughter, they didn't, lol, so...they told me they had to shave me, and I watched them (well, I could see her doing it, which made me feel :shy:)

They made sure I was completely numb, and then inserted the catheter, which I didn't feel at all.

The doctor put up the curtain and began! A few minutes (literally) later, my beautiful daughter was born. She cried right away, and I was flooded with feelings of love and joy! DH got to hold her, but I wasn't able to hold her until I was back in my room (about three or so hours after she was born). I still couldn't believe that I had a daughter. She is so precious...she's my little angel.

Then the doctor stitched me up. The whole thing took less than an hour.

Onto the recovery room...my pain began, and it was pretty bad. They kept it under control though. The first night was the WORST pain-wise. Seriously, it was awful. The first time I had to get up to walk was bad too.

By the second day, it wasn't as bad, and I was up and walking. I was discharged after 48 hours.

The first week was quite difficult, because everything hurt. My back hurt because of the spinal I think.

Oh, the **TMI** dreaded first poo didn't hurt. With my son, it was terrible, and I screamed, but this time it wasn't bad at all! I feel like my rectal muscles are a bit messed up though. I don't really know how to describe it, but it hurts at the end of my poo session, lol.

The gas is another story! I have had the worse gas since my section. It's a bit painful as well. Make sure that you stock up on Gas Ex. I'm already on my second pack. I like the chewables. I'm still dealing with gas, but it is a bit better each day.

Almost two weeks in, and I'm doing really well (besides the gas). My incision hardly hurts, I'm able to move around MUCH more than when I had my massive belly, and I'm feeling okay overall. When I do too much, I still find that I need to rest, but I think that will get better with time.

I'll tell you...life is SO much easier now that I'm not pregnant. No more indigestion, exhaustion, or trips every half hour to the loo.

I physically feel much better than when I was pregnant, but I'm disabled, so my other issues have been a bit worse.

That's pretty much it! PM me if you have any questions!
