my fab eater has turned into a picky eater

My lo was blw, and has been really up for trying new foods, feeds herself well and has been enjoying her meal times up until 10 days ago. She now plays with her food and eats less than half of what she would eat before, she shakes her head if I try to spoon feed her homemade puree. And basically won't eat anything unless it comes out of a pouch. I'm starting to get concerned. She is still enjoying her milk, and does drink more per day than recommended for her age. So I'm not too concerned about her nutrition. I think its probably just a phas. But has anyone else been thru this? And how did you handle it?

Join the club! Lucas was literally a human dustbin but now he'll be really picky and you have to give him foods in a certain order for there to be a chance in hell of him eating all of it - eg bananas are a favourite so if he knows there's one available everything else gets chucked on the floor.
I've been hiding foods - he's decided he won't eat strawberries, raspberries etc so I covered them with yogurt. And been making soups that have got sweet veg in them which seems to be working a bit so far. Obviously don't have a solution for everything though so sometimes it's a nightmare! I'm sure it'll only be temporary (fingers crossed! lol)

my LO goes through phases with food sometimes he's really just not in the mood for eating and will only have his milk.

i keep offering him his food and then he usually gets going again. as long as he's having his milk, I don't worry.

Many babies go through picky phases, especially around a year old. Don't stress about it. Just continue offering a variety of healthy foods and let her decide how much she wants. Eventually she'll start eating better again.

Thankyou. I'm sure it will pass I just don't want to encourage pickiness by panicking and offering her a second choice everytime she rejects a food.

My LO is exactly the same at the minute, we've done tw and while he's never been the best eater, I could at least get him to eat porridge with fruit, Ella's kitchen pouches of any kind, and yoghurt, now he won't even eat those!

He has started gagging a lot, he's also teething and just been diagnosed with reflux, so I am really struggling to fill him up! Some days I can only get him to have 20ozs of milk! He won't feed himself, he doesn't like to touch wet or sticky foods, and if I give him toast or crumpet etc he shoves huge pieces in his mouth! If I cut it up small he just throws it on the floor!

I really am at a loss!

Wow, congratulations!!!!! I was so in shock that I ever conceived I couldn't believe I was preg , then couldn't believe my lo was real for about her first 4 months. I used to continually dream that I'd lost her or she'd disappeared. I feel so blessed and I'm sure you do to
