Today I went in for a scan to confirm whether I have a cyst or not as I have this ongoing pain close to my right ovary. I was convinced I had one but I have been a bit of a nervous wreck thinking I had hundreds and would never be able to have a baby. But then the sonographers gave me my results & guess what! No cysts, not even one! My ovaries looked healthy, my uterus nice & healthy.. all good to go! In fact they said they had a look at my follicles & could see that an egg is ready to be released. They were very encouraging & excited for me to get on with my BDing!

I was gobsmacked & so happy! I felt like nourishing my egg, like a proper Finding Nemo moment.. I want to fertilise it & care for it so bad!

But I am so conflicted, do we try this cycle.. or do I wait and go through the acu properly so that I don't have another failed attempt? My big issue all along is that I worry I can't hold on to a sticky bean not that I'm unable to get pregnant. I thought maybe my uterus was a bit weak or inhospitable but after listening to what the sonographers said that doesn't seem to be an issue?

*sigh* no idea what to do... No idea what is causing that tight knot-like pain on my right side or if I'm going to need any treatment for it down the line.

OH keeps saying, let's go for it.. ok let's wait, ok let's go for it, let's wait. Ahh! Going to have to make a decision pretty quick according to today's advice.

Hi
I think that is fabulous news! It's entirely up to you weather you want to start, personally if that was myself and the sonographers were happy I'd be going for it, but that's just me I'm a into the fire girl!! If they saw anything that could cause a problem such as thin lining etc then I'm sure they would have said!!
Warm wishes xx

I was having a lot of pain around my right ovary last year, after multiple ultrasounds and visits to the doctors they didn't find any cysts or any reason for the pain. I finally was referred to a gyno and he found that I had a ******* pelvic floor muscle that was causing the pain. I went to see a physiotherapist who specialized in pelvic floor muscles, and after some internal massage (yup, just like it sounds she sticks her finger up your lady bits and massages your internal muscles) and some exercises the pain has completely resolved! It might be worth investigating if you continue to have the pain.

I don't know what it put stars in my response in place of a word.

It's supposed to say *******.

What the heck???

S P A S T I C

Is that a bad word or something? Lol!

Thank you ladies!! We decided to go for it & we're all the more happier for it :happydance::happydance:

I tend to live life with my heart & definitely not my brain, so I know what you mean SpannerD but because of my previous heartbreak I thought to be more cautious this time.. well, heart won! All can do now is pray. I think I'll be O'ing any day now so fingers crossed.

Even used preseed ;D It was our first time.. we quite liked it. Think I used just the right amount!

Spanner - thanks for pointing that out about the lining, it's something i did consider because they said my lining looked a little thick but that it seems right on target with my CD.

Jess - I'm going to research that right now. I've been trying to think of what else it could be and was pretty clueless on how to begin researching because everything seems to be based around a urinary tract infection, cysts, apendicitis or an STD. None of which I seem to have.

Loads & loads of :dust: to you all!!

That's so funny about the word s p a s t i c, I use it a lot in reference to myself!!
