My husband is on Lipitor and Benicar do you think this will affect his sperm?

We are not 35 but almost so I hope you dont mind me asking. I am 34 and he is 33! LOL He is taking Lipator 40mg and Benicar 40 mg he was on something else for his High Blood pressure but the Dr changed it to Lipator in January. This is our 2nd cycle. With our boys it only took us one month to get pregnant. Last month we were trying the whole shettles thing and I know I missed my O all together. I was just wondering if this would make his sperm count low? If it is low or you think it could be how would one need to go about the bding? Once every other day instead of everyday or what. Has anyone spoke to their Dr about this?

Hi mommy22boys.

If it puts your mind at rest, as I am T1 ID Diabetic I too take lipitor & candesartan. Neither of which effected my sperm count.

There is no guarantee of course but I would suspect that they are having no detrimental effect on your husband.
