I posted this on third tri a few days ago but haven't had a chance to put it on here yet
Longest day of my life-positive induction
So I arrived at hospital at half 7 was admitted for induction at 40+10 they examined me and I was only 1cm dilated but cervix was softening but still quite far back put in first lot of gel at half 8 and was monitored on and off then they let me walk around examined again had dilated another cm so more gel put in at half 4 left till eleven when they transferred me to delivery at eleven he monitored me for about half an hour then examined me and broke my waters left me for about 20 mins and contractions started coming every minute or 2 and were really strong I got On birthing ball and started on gas and air at about 1 I began to feel pressure and a burning sensation and had to start pushing gently for back on bed about half 1 but just couldn't push so midwife let me lie on my back till I felt ready once his head was crowning she moved me onto my side and in 3 contractions he was out
My little man born at 2:04am weighing a hefty 9lbs 4 he's healthy and happy and seems to be feeding well made up I only needed 3 stitches and did the entire thing on gas and air
