Hi ladies, I've been meaning to post birth story for over a week now but been so busy. I just wanted to post before I move to baby club forum as so many of you have been so supportive over the last few months.
Well here goes, I started getting contractions throughout the day on 8/ 4. This was one week overdue, they continued all day but nothing unmanageable. I eventually phoned delivery suit at 11pm ish. I was adamant I wanted to stay at home as long as possible, contractions stayed the same, roughly 5 mins then out of nowhere went to every minute and got a lot worse,
Oh got me to hospital and waters went as soon as I walked through door, baby had had a poo inside me so I was put on a monitor, contractions were constant by this stage. Mw checked me and I was six cm, after two more contractions I was ten and ready to push... It was all so quick
no pain relief 
Next thing I remember is that mw pushed emergency button and there was, three drs and 3mws. Everything is a bit of a blur from then on. I was told afterwards that lo shoulder had got stuck and cord was round his neck, I remember mw telling me we need to get lo out and so I gave it all I had and my little prince Tom
came into the world at 2.40am, he was floppy due to delivery and had to have oxygen but started breathing after a long minute. His little eyes were all blood shot due to pressure but are getting better now.
He went straight to breast and hasn't stopped feeding since..
He weighed 9,7 at birth. We had to stay in hospital an extra night but I'm happy to say he is fine. He lost 7 oz in first week but has put 5 back on so is now weighing 9.5..
We are so in love with him, so precious xx
I kept saying to oh. I know my body, i don't need to go in yet, thank goodness I did when I did, don't wait too long ladies before you go in and don't let delivery
