I like Charlotte Daisy! Cute for a little girl and still suitable for a grown-up.

Tough crowd here at BnB :dohh:

Oh well! :winkwink:

I like Freya best. Of course, I could be biased!
I love Clover too though.

Love Lydia, Catalina and Anna :)

How about Lydia Clover?

I do like Clover!! :) xx

Signy Louisa  sorry, don't know how you pronounce that?
Solveig Francis  again

Lovely lovely lovely list though! I shall be stealing some of those for my own list. :happydance:

I have to say I wouldn't class a lot of those as "normal" names.....not that I'm saying thats a bad thing!!!

I'd class a normal name as David, Michael, Sarah, Jane...that kinda thing :)

They are the right side of different though...not different enough to be bullied, but different enough to not have another 5 in their class at school.

A lovely list

Amygdala- First, thanks for critiquing the whole list...I appreciate that and I'm glad you found some names that you like there! Signy and Solveig are scandinavian names that I love (I'm from the US but my heritage is scandinavian). Signy is prounounced SIHG-knee and Solveig is pronounced SOL-vay.

suzanna108- They may not be "normal" names according to the general public but they are the names that I don't consider guilty pleasures (which Clover might fit into better) and I would actually use these names from this list. My non-normal, guilty pleasure list consists of names like Echo, Brooklyn, Antigone, Winter, Poppy, Hadley, and Aspen.
Thanks for your comments!

I wouldn't exactly call them normal either but then again whats normal to one is not to another etc, The only one i like out of those is lydia, I love ruby but that was our old dogs name so it never looks right on a child now *sigh*

Ooohh I love Poppy....I think its becoming more "normal" it's on my list but FOB hates it......more the reason to go for it maybe seeing as he left me :haha:

I love Echo too...its a Turkish boys name actually....think its just spelled Eko though...and it might be a short version of a more complicated name :) xx

Not sure I dare to comment on your choices, Roo  but I have to say that I totally love Aurora... I had thought about using it but it would be too much of a mouthful with my last name...

:nope:

I love Freya and Ruby. Ruby is my horses name though.

I would call Poppy a normal name, very cute for a little girl but I have my reservations about it working in adulthood. Antigone is one of my greekheroines, but I'm not sure I would want to name my child after the daughter of Oedipus and his mother Jocasta who ends up being buried alive in a tomb because she buries one of her brothers against the King's wishes. I guess I consider it unlucky and also I'd be worried people would pronounce it 'Anty-gone'. Same with Echo, I'd be worried that my daughter would fade away pining for some vain sod called Narcissus! :haha:

Exactly why they are on my "guilty pleasure" lists! :winkwink: hee hee
