:haha:

Basically we're ttc in sept but looking at names. I love darcie jade d......... For a girl (or jade darcie not sure yet)

Oh hates both :sad2:

So how do i convince him, i was thinking mid baby making

Boys we have no idea. I like kyle, issac and jacob. Least is jacob as my dad and his new gf would of used it. Also not sure how to spell jake with jacob

My fiance hates the baby names I like and I hate the names he likes.....we have until December to decide lol.
I love Elowyn (el-o-win) for a girl with nicknames Winnie and Ellie - my fiance hates it and says it sounds too much like an elf name.
He likes Leo for a boy but I think it's way too short, I like long names that can be shortened.

I feel exactly where you're coming from! So many names I love, yet DH HATES all of them. He says I have bad taste in names  yet he likes names like Draven, Zed, Optimus Prime (not even joking about this, he has said he would let me name our next DD any name I want if I let him name our DS this) men...:nope:

I'm not sure how you can convince him, when you find out let me know lol. :haha: but maybe compromise? We kind of compromised with DD, DH loved Riley, I liked it too but I said if we name her Riley could we spell it differently? And we spell it Rylie and now I love it and it fits her so well!

Well, if you really love the name and need to use it, here's how my husband got me to agree to the name Caoimhe: he found it, wouldn't shut up about it, and basically told me that he wouldn't use any other name lmao. And when we finally found out the gender I was so in love with her I didn't even care. I eventually fell in love with the name, too because he wouldn't let it go. So be stubborn and relentless? Course if you're both that way idk how it would work.

Also we made a deal eventually that if it was a girl he could use Caoimhe and if it was a boy we could use the name I liked. So maybe that?

I just looked up how to pronounce Caoimhe, that is super cute!! Sorry just had to compliment :D

I wouldnt mind him not likong names if he had any idea himself lmao

my DH is pretty much the same way. However. He had pretty much refused to talk about names. Then I started bringing it up every day. Mentioning names that would hold some personal meaning to us, and were nice. He found ways to make fun of the names. Finally I wrote out a list of 4 boy names and 4 girl names. And gave it to him. He looked at it, suggested 2 names I absolutely hate, and when I told him I didn't like them he had a literal tantrum. So I told him to write out some names he liked. He said he would, but hasn't yet. And we are finding out the gender at the beginning of August and I would like to have a name to announce to the family.

If he still does not cooperate I am naming the babe whatever name I feel suits him/her at birth. Regardless.

My DH hates my all time favorite girl name, Larkin. After the miscarriage he said he has changed his mind & I can name our next baby whatever I like. It's so hard to think of using a name that I know he hates though.

Maybe you two can come up with something you both like before the time comes. If you just bring up the names you like every time you two talk about it maybe he will start to like it... It's worth a shot! Good luck & baby dust when the time comes!

Someone said to me, when he sees you giving birth or in labour, you will get your way. =)

Yeah this worked for me and for my friend too. OH doesn't love Felix but I insisted, and he's got Wolfgang as a middle name so he's happy. I got to use Oscar as DS1's middle name too, even thought OH wanted Jack, which I hate.
