So my waters broke on Friday 12th September at 10.55pm and my son Max was born at 1.05am weighing 7lb 5ozs (3.4kgs exactly). I found out after that I have group b strep (I moved to my hometown a month ago and the London maternity team didn't check for GBS). We were both transferred to a consultant led hospital and given antibiotics. Hopefully we can leave the hospital tomorrow as I'm in a private room with my family only visiting for an hour a day and no tv. Max sleeps most of the time and is no bother but it's too quiet here apart from other babies crying and lots of beep noises. I just want to be home with my hubby and all three children. It's so frustrating. I'll try to upload a photo of Max

P.s. My hubby told me I had to give birth before midnight to avoid future birthdays falling on Friday the 13th.

Congratulations!! I hope you get to go home soon, I had to stay in after I had my third and I missed my hubby and older kids so much. It's so lonely and as you said, frustrating! :(

All the best, enjoy your little man :flower:

As congrats! It's such an easy test I can't see why they don't do it routinely.

Wow you're amazing - 2 hours!?!?!? Are quicker labours more painful or doesn't it work that way?

Hope you get home soon - and congratulations :D

Congrats!! I can only hope for a 2 hour labor, that is awesome. Hope your at least enjoying some alone time with Max (very cute name) and not too bored in there.

My waters broke at 630 and I delivered at 801, sounds similar! I couldn't believe it!! Congrats ! <3

Congrats! :flower:

How long were your first two labors, if you don't mind me asking?

Haha, such a practical note from your OH! Congratulations on your little one!
