thought i'd add some of faiths favourites...
beef and tomato caserole
ingredients:
1 clove of garlic
90g (3oz) minced beef
30g (1oz) onion, chopped
300g (10oz) tinned chopped tomatoes
90g (3oz) fresh sliced mushrooms
1tbsp dried mixed herbs
120ml (4floz) water
240g (8oz) potatoes, peeled, chopped and cooked
120g (4oz) carrots, peeled, chopped, cooked
60g (2oz) frozen peas
method:
fry the garlic until golden brown. add the minced beef and onion and cook for 10 minutes
add the tomatoes, mushrooms, herbs, peas and water. bring to the boil and simmer for 25-35 minutes. add cooked potatoes and carrots
sausage and bean bake
ingredients
1 large onion, chopped
4 continental sausages, sliced (i use whatever ones i have in freezer at the time or buy fresh ones)
1tbsp finely chopped parsley
240g (8oz) can baked beans
1 tbsp tomatoe paste
90ml (3floz) water
30g (1oz) green pepper, diced
1 stick celery, finely chopped
method
preheat oven to 180C. chop onion and mix with sausage and parsley in a large bowl. stir in beans, tomatoe paste, celery, pepper & water. spread mixture into shallow dish. use a lid or tin foil and bake for 20 mins. remove lid or foil and bake for further 15 mins. serve with crispy salad and hot bread rolls,
well there are a couple anyway. theres a great one for macaroni cheese but its soooo long lol
