My sister has pcos :(

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me posting here xxx
Im 25 years of age. I went through ltttc for over 3 years. NTNP For 3 years before that..
I went through a dark stage and depressed. I finally got help from a FS last year where I conceived my miracle from the help of clomid.

My sister (age 24) (size 8 and fit) found out today that she has pcos
She also has fibroids.
I don't want her going through what I went through.
I didn't have pcos. I had I explain infertility.

She got prescribed with something but I didn't ask what she got prescribed with.

Can pcos be fixed?

PCOS isnt fully curable really but there are many people on here with pregnancy success stories so it can be done

As pp said, it cannot be "cured" but, it can be managed. Se may have been started on metformin, as PCOS is thought to be linked to insulin resistance. Most likely she will end up taking clomid and there is a high success rate for it with PCOS.

Hi I have pcos.
I was not ovulating or getting a period at all. I have one son conceived on clomid, which is used to induce ovulation in women with pcos. About 7 weeks ago I started taking metformin and ovulated naturally for the first time in years, conceived but had a chemical preg.
There's lots that can be done for pcos!

Thank you! It started as "let's get an early start cos it'll take ages" but then we had the chemical and we were getting so excited so now we just want it now! I'm on cd25 if this has turned out to be back to anovulatory cycles then ill look at clomid again soon
