My son won't take my advice...

My son says he doesn't want to wear an athletic cup (groin pad) while playing a contact sport.

How could he be convinced that him wearing a groin pad might be a good idea? Besides not letting him play.

Does he have any doctor's appointments coming up? Maybe it would help for him to hear it from a medical professional who can walk him through exactly what might happen if he didn't use the cup?

I wouldn't be compromising on safety like that. If your son is still a minor then I would say tell him either he wears it or he doesn't play


Most sports leagues actually require it to participate anyways .
