Here goes...
My names Gemma, I was on here last year but I doubt any of you would have been on around the same time.

My Story...
I'm 20 years old, suffered 2 miscarriages last year, both classed as 'Missed Miscarriages', 1 at 12 weeks and 1 at 8 weeks, my last one almost killed me as I caught a very serious infection and had to be rushed in and put on two drips for 24hours before my op. Both miscarriages were down to an abusive partner at the time...obviously from near death I was completely off the idea of having a baby! So, a year on I really didn't expect to see myself back here!
I joined back up simply for support as I have told nobody apart from my mum.
It was a huge shock to both of us... I'd been seeing a fella but called it off as I didn't trust him, something weren't right. My period was late again, they'd been playing up for a few months, being upto two weeks late, I was fed up this time so decided I'd go to the doctors about it, I knew she'd ask about pregnancy so I decided I'd do a test to rule that out and get the problem sorted quicker, I did the test but up came 2 lines instead of one, I did the other two tests which were also in the pack and all turned out the same, I told my mum as I was convinced the cheap tests were wrong (picked em up at the £ shop) so popped to ASDA and got a test that I'd used before and trusted, up came 2 lines again...so here I am!!!
I shall be booking an appointment at the docs on Monday... still yet too tell the daddy!! :dohh:

Oh sweetheart you have been through the mill and come out the other side. On line with the pregnancy you mum sounds like she could be your best friend through what is to come. I can sympathise with your situation. I did not have a mc though Just an early delivery. I am now with a man who I trust not only with my life but with the lives of my children. They are out there, you may have to take the leap at some point but you will know when it is the right thing. As to the Little one, I wish you all the luck. Having a small can give you so much strength to do what is best for you and them, even if it frighens the heck out of you. I never knew I could be strong until my bump needed me to.

Thank u :)
My mum has been great in all fairness. I feel I put everything that happened to me last year behind me, even got a tattoo which to me meant the end of it all, so I'm not letting it play on my mind right now. It was just such a huge shock, I'd of loved to have a baby but not the pregnancy part. I'm hoping the doc may send me for an early scan due to my other periods bein all over the place, just incase.

Well if nothing else it will help you get a better idea of your due date. The pregnancy though it can be a real pain at times is only 9 months and most of that will fly by. So I would not worry too much. Enjoy the fact that your hair and nails will look fab and you may well too (never had that luxury myself).

I seem to go very pale which doesn't look good with black hair!! lol and my hair gets greasy far too quickly. Yet you see some women and they really are glowing!

I know they make me sick but for the pale complexion you could try a tinted moisturiser and a bit of mascara I have a similar complexion with red hair

Welcome back Gemma, what a nightmare you have had :hugs: Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy this time around, and as for FOB.... you just need to focus on what you think is best for you and bean xx
