I was due to be induced at 39 Weeks at 8am on the 25th. All week I'd said oh he might come before but it got to the weekend and still no baby so id given up hope.
On the Monday I dropped my lo off at nursery, dropped his bags off ready to stay at my mums, cleaned the house and had planned to relax all night in preparation for the next morning.
However at 6.30 my waters went with no.pains or warning. I phoned the hospital who said to put on a pad and if it was soaked to phone back.after about 15 mins I started getting mild pains. I waited til around 7.30 to ring the hospital back and they said to go in. I phoned my sister to come and take us to hospital. The pains were getting alot worse by this point but I was still managing fine. just as my sister had set off I started panicking I wouldn't make it to the hospital in the car so at 7.45 I phoned an ambulance. My sister got there at 10 to 8 and I passed the phone to her, I started to feel the urge to push and couldn't hokd on any longer, I kneeled on the floor and pushed and out popped his head and 1 push later he was born, at approximately 8.04 I literally had to catch him myself in a towel. He screamed straight away. Ambulance arrived about 2 mins too late!
So there you go my drug free, hone birth if my little boy. I needed 5 stitches but otherwise was fine just extremely shocked.
Harvey was taken to special care as he has a ccam/sequestration of the lung but was quickly returned with me as he was fine. He was takenfor a chesy xray which also came back fine.
Harvey was 7lbs 9Oz and absoloutku perfect
