Im only on day 1 of using this app... Im loving it :)

I dont think im going to have any problems finding the foods i eat. I have barcode scanned & manually searched for alot of foods that i eat regularly & all came up :)

My problem is exercise. Today i ran 3 miles in 28 minutes, so that was nice & simple to log. But tomorrow i plan on doing an exercise DVD (which i do most days). I alternate between "boot camp", which is mainly squats/kicks/punches/ab work, & "fat burner", which is jogging/star jumps/spotty dogs etc. Both programmes are quite aerobic & last 30 mins each.

What do i search for & log in?

Any other MyFitnessPal App users can you share any other advice? Im so new to it & dont yet fully know my way around it all! Thanks x

You can add all the exercises seperately or try a search for the dvd name. Sometimes its easier to just guess (on the lower end) how many calories you burn.

Feel free to add me weewdy.

How do i add you hun? Well done on all your weight loss! How have you done it? x

What is your username on mfp and i will add you? I have just been counting everything i put in my mouth, really clean eating.

MFP does seriously overestimate. If you use this then it's best to take half if what it says.

Or invest in a heart rate monitor and get a more accurate reading for you. Polar do good heart rate monitors.

I just googled the "average" for many excercises using my age- then I finally broke down and bought a HR Monitor (not a cheap one)- to track calories. And found, the average, was pretty much spot on! :haha: So yeah- it was kind of a waste of moola-- but, least I know what I tend to burn for each workout. ;)

I use Loseit- so I can't attest to MFP... but I'd think most are similar. I found my loseit app was sometimes on the lower end- while gym equipment was on the higher (when just doing straight up cardio) so I tend to average them out too. But with my Power, Zumba and Step class- once I knew- then I just log that same calories each time (even if it varies a bit up or down, it's not much). Glad you're liking it!
