I'm curious on some feedback for the name Oakley. We are set on a girl's name but boys names are so much harder in my opinion!
So, what's your reaction to Oakley?
😊

I love this name!!! Oh says no though as it reminds him of the sunglasses brand?!
I love nature names! What's your girls name if you don't mind sharing? Xxx

I have loved that name since I was a kid. I grew up next to a street called Oakley and then our neighbor got a golden retriever named Oakley. And I've always thought it would make an awesome name for a person.

yay! I'm happy for positive responses :) I was worried about the sunglasses company reference- I had forgotten about it until my husband mentioned it. Well it is still very early on for me (I'm only 5 and a half weeks) so I have some time to decide still, but I am just feeling like it's a boy.
thank you!

I feel like I'm having a boy too but were staying team yellow.
I think that's maybe why we can't agree on girls names.

The sunglasses reference doesn't matter to me but oh vetoed it for that reason. I don't think many women have heard of Oakley xx

I like it, would use it but it sounds to similar to my ds name already to use!

reminds me of those HUGE Oakley horseboxes!

taking that away I don't think its a terrible name choice. It sounds quite American to me. although I don't really know what is popular there being from the UK

Isabelle was going to be an Oakley and so was this little one.... Debating whether to call her Oakley as we love the name so much lol xx

I like it but not sure I would ever use it. It would sound ridiculous if I did though as our surname is Hill.

It's one of those names I love but don't think i'd ever be able to use and pull it off, go with it if you love it!
