Hello Ladies,

So after weeks and weeks if combing names for both genders I feel like we have hit our final(ish) lists for both possible genders. They are:

Boys:
Bowan
Reid
Hayes
Warren
Liam
Harrison

Girls
Sutton
Porter
Collins
Adalaide
Hayden

As you can see I like more uncommon names in general and more masculine sounding names for girls( with the exception of Adalaide). My DH likes all the names on both sides other then Collins for a girl (which sucks because that's my #1 pick).

Does anyone have other name suggestions or input? I would gladly take it!

I like Reid, Warren and Harrison!
I'd suggest Rowan instead of Bowan personally.
Hayes, I can't picture as a day to day name. More of a last name to me.
Just not a fan of Liam personally.

Girls I like Adalaide and Hayden. Sutton is growing on me. Porter and Collins are last names to me.

I'd suggest names like Sawyer, Preston, Lincoln, Colton, etc. Instead of Collins what about Colley or just Colin?

I like Reid, Liam, and Harrison from your boy list.

Only one I like on the girl list is Adelaide. I think sometimes last names can work as first names but those are a bit of a stretch for me. I like the PP's suggestion of Sawyer for a girl, I've also met a little girl named Parker. Those aren't my style but seem a bit more fitting as first names than the ones you've listed.

I'm not to keen on variants on Collins and for some reason in my mind as soon as you drop the "s" it sounds too masculine. I'm crazy I know.

My DH and I know a Colton that's in the extended family. Lincoln and Preston I'm not too keen on as well.

Hayes was put on the list because we both don't mind it but I agree it is pretty last nameish. It's does sound great with our last name though...

I know a few Sawyers in the town we live in both girl and boys so I probably wouldn't use it.

Thank you for the input ladies. I do appreciate it!

My Fav for girl - Hayden & Porter

Boy - Reid & Harrison

I actually love Collins, it's not my style at all but something about it sounds great! I like Reid from your boys list.
Suggestions:
Girls:
Grey
Parker
Piper
Perri
Merrick

Boys:
Ryder
Weston
Gibson
Baxter
Watson

Oh and my own little suggestions would be Charlie for a girl (you can spell it different ways) and Rainn for a boy :) But I like your picks a lot actually !

Eleanor: I am actually loving your suggestion of Perri for a girl. Different and slightly masculine as well as unique. Thank you! I'm adding it to the list to discuss with DH. I'm thinking he will say no but it's worth mentioning for sure.

Funny thing about the name Parker. Have any of you seen Alaskan Gold the TV show? There is a young kid named Parker Schnabbel...well he has ruined that name for me for boy or girl. He is so self entitled, egotistical and a douche in the show that I just can't ever associate that name with good things anymore.

Mrsberries: I had Rainn on the list but for a girl with an alternatative of Rayna. Some how it was taken off I believe because it sounds weird with our last name.

Okay so had our gender scan it's our baby is all boy in there. We are both super excited (I wanted boy, DH didn't care) . It is also a little bit of a relief because our girls name list was a little bit of a bone of contention between DH and I. Our styles for girls names are just too different lol. The boys lust however seemed like a breeze to put together.

After finding out our baby is for sure a boy I am preferring 3 names on my list and DH has been slipping up and calling baby boy by 1 of those name. I think it's in his head that that is the babies name lol. I don't mind the name he keeps saying but I prefer to not set anything in stone until I have eyes and hands on baby boy.

Love Reid and Harrison for a boy. Sutton and Collins for a girl.

Harrison and Adaleide are the only 2 I like

I'm partial to Collins and masculine(ish) names for girls in general too. Although, I'm probably bias because my parents named me Ryanne (pronounced like the boys Ryan) and I love it. There was a movie I really liked and it had a girl named Collins in it and I thought it was really cute. I also a lot of time people that name their girl Charlotte or the like end up calling them Charlie which I also think is cute.

For a boy I like Reid and Liam. Although I think Lucian is a cool name too. Either way it is going to be your kid so I'd say screw what anyone but you and DH think. Suggestions and help is always nice but in the end it is you kid and your decision and your family are the ones that it will effect the the most.

Aw lovely to hear you have a blue bump :) I was only going to suggest Shannon for boy or girl but it sounds like you have your name.

I like Liam in the boys list and Sutton and Hayden from the girls list.
