Naming my LO Chase is on the top on my list but I really Dnt want to have it spelled like that and I know there isn't really many ways to spell it. If I spelt it CHAIS , would that still pronounce chase? Any other name spelling suggestions would be appreciated too.

As a teacher I can say that phonetically Chais can still be pronounced the same way, it's just that people may not instantly see it as 'Chase' - if that makes sense. I can also say however that over the years I've seen much more unusual spellings of common names so don't be put off.

I prefer the original spelling tbh.

Just my personal opinion xx

What about Chaise?

I personally like the spelling Chase, but it's obviously up to you.

Chaise
Chayse
Chays
Chais

Not many other options I don't think?

I prefer the original other wise i would think its shay-s if that makes sense lol

Agree with PP. Chaise is french for chair... and in my mind I read it with the french pronunciation (shays). Chase is a great name!

I agree, my son will probably go his whole life with people mispronouncing his name if its chais or chaise. My name is Jeda (jay-duh) and everyday I had to deal with the Jee-duh and Je-duh pronunciations. So CHASE it is. Thanks ladies
