Like I have no ideas. None at all.

With my daughter I knew her name, from the minute she was that little purple line she was Evie.

This time I'm sat here thinking and thinking and nothing sticks.

Maybe because I'm hoping for a boy, and my children are mixed race and I don't want them to have any "typical" mixed children's names. I barely hear "Evie" ' that's the way I like it. I've always had Archie in mind for a boy but now I hear that everywhere & I can't imagine an 18 year old mixed race growing man called Archie!! 😂😂

Anyone else this stuck?!

I am team yellow with my first....

I have an issue on the girls names side where I have too many names I love and so it is difficult to choose.

BUT I am totally with you when it comes to boys names - I have no idea. We float so many names around but none seem to jump out at me at all. I'm really worried I end up settling on a name that I don't like down the line! Or worse, as you said, doesn't suit them.

We were much the same; Rowan was always Rowan. We both loved it and there was never any further discussion needed.
This time it's been much harder; we have finally decided on a name and I'm really happy with it. But it's been a lot of trawling baby name sites and forums to feel sure it was "the" name.

Hope something suddenly catches your attention!

We picked my son's name when we were barely dating back in 2001...(we were besties for over a year before we dated) and his name was supposed to be Drake Preston, but ended up Drake Logan! It took well over 3 months into his pregancy to even think of a girls name for him...we just knew it was a boy! (His name would have been Willow Noelle)

This time around, we couldn't think of a boy's name to save our lives! I had her named picked out before even trying to concieve so I just knew it was a girl this time. Her name will be Freya Evangeline. IF she was a boy her name would have been Elijah Delano (Delano is my dad's middle name). It too forever to think of a boys name this time!

Dee

Ahh it's such a pain... My partner wants Jessie for a girl, or Gyasi (pronounced Jessie) for a boy because that's his dad's name but it just doesn't stick with meee!!! 🙈

I'm having twins and will find out what flavour they are in around 4ish weeks. We have 2 sets of girls names we like (i like one set more, DH likes the other set better lol) However.... boys names!! I have literally 1 name i like.... does it go with ANY of the girls names i like? NO! If it's two boys in here i'm royally screwed lol

Decided i'm not going to try and figure out combinations until i know for sure what flavour they are now! x

We actually had more trouble picking names for our first! I had several I loved, but DH didn't like them as much. We decided on a girl name a couple weeks before we found out what we were having(would have been Ava, middle name undecided), but not a boy name. And of course we ended up having a boy that we finally named Asher Storm(Storm is a family name on DHs side)
This time we had names picked out within the first 2 months! Cecilia Lou for a girl(my great grandma was named Lou Celia) and Hunter Michael for a boy(Michael was my dad's brother who passed away 39 years ago this last Tuesday when he was 17)

I've been reading these posts and I am really no help to anyone, but maybe someone could toss me an idea? My first two we stuck with same first letter names ( Elijah and Ethan. With the long /e/) since we started this I feel I need to stay with the /e/'s but I'm having trouble finding names that begin with an long /e/ sound. Girl or boy. We are looking for something common enough to find in the name plates and souvenir shops but not too common. Before naming my boys I had never met an Elijah or Ethan in person.

Lol. I was calling her Gabrielle for the longest. My OH and sister hates the name. I'm calling her Jane doe, and FYI (first name unknown). Lol. But I Think She'll Be Named After My Mom And His Grandmother.

Ezekiel, Enoch, and Easton are the only long e names I can think of. Puts pressure on the naming, eh!?

I found Eamon, Easter, Elise(I know people that pronounce it with a long e or and uh sound) Egan(Eoghan), Elaina, Elizabeth(again one I've heard pronounce with a long e or an uh), Emmanuel, Eoin, Evangeline, Eden.

I may be bias but my daughter is an Evie & I love it so much!!!

Evie, Evalyn, Erica, erm now I'm stuck lol!!!

I'm the same I kind of want all my kids to have "ie" on the end lol so Jessie would work but it doesn't stick 🙈

Lucas would have been Evelyn if he was a girl if that helps?

Yeah I'm crap with names :haha:

I am having a really hard time picking a name as well. We had a boy's name picked out but not a girls. It is so hard, I feel like no name is good enough lol.

We haven't got any names picked at all!! We have bounced a few boys and girls names around, we find girls names we have too many nice choices and not enough choice for boys, there are literally no boys names that aren't either too common, are a name of a member of one of our family's or have a negative association so we really are stuck. We both think the baby is a boy so when we have our scan if they say boy we really are going to have to get thinking

We stuck with yeam yellow first time round and we had our girls name picked out from the start, I struggled with any boys names and luckily our little Eve Annabelle was born.

I too would like another 'E' name and so far have Ethan Joseph and Emily Maria picked out so far. I'm not too fussed on the girls name so this might change, but love the name Ethan. Finding out on Weds whether we are pink or blue :)

I've had my boy's name since I was 15 and have always loved it (Taliesin) but we really struggled with girls names, so of course our first was a girl! We went round and round, but kept settling on Emilia, which is what we chose.

Having a boy this time round and still love Taliesin, but trying to think of back ups and I am just stuck!

Its a lot of pressure choosing names!

I like aoife for a girl not that I know how to pronounce it haha!

I think Aoife is pronounced Ee-fa.

I have no idea on names this time and am not even going to think about it until we know if baby is pink or blue! Narrows down the arguments with oh :haha:

I've always been able to come up with girls names... We knew right away our daughter was going to be Theodora :)

This time around with a boy we are completely stuck! And I gotta get a move on considering I'm getting so close to third tri! For the life of me, every boy name I come across I just don't like! And people won't stop throwing ideas at me... it's like, I don't want to use a name someone else picked out :p I'm weird like that.
